Third grade students who qualify for Early Morning Reading are invited to participate every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before school (8-9am).  At fourth and fifth grades, we have one group of students who meet every cycle day 1, 2, and 6.

The program targets students who need instruction in the decoding component of reading. The students work in a small group of no more than 5 students.

FRES staff members who have been trained to implement the Wilson Reading Program teach the program (a 45 minute lesson).

Students also use the computer program Lexia SOS to reinforce the skills that are taught in the program (5-10 minutes) .
