District Recognizes Board of Education Members

The District thanked its Board of Education members as part of School Board Recognition Night on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
 
Brighton students treated the Board of Education to some musical performances. The music included:
 

  • TCMS 8th Grade Flute Ensemble led by Mr. Justin Perez
    1. Performing “Allegro Giocoso,” by Haydn and arranged by Acton Ostling. 
    2. Performers: Evan Alweis, Branwen Hull, Liv Itkin, Mia Lubkowski, and Sophia Ren.
  • BHS Trumpet Duet led by Mr. Jeremiah Cooper 
    1. Performing “Arietta” by Turk. 
    2. Performers: Juliana Ontiveros-Oberg and Tessa Lindstrom.
  • BHS Violin Soloist taught by Dr. Rachel Lauber 
    1. Performing Mozart Concerto No. 4 in D Major, K.218 (Excerpt). 
    2. Performer: Noah Busch accompanied by Ms. Laura Dubin.
  • BHS Macapella led by Mrs. Sarah Staebell
    1. Performing “I Love You So” by The Walters, Arranged by Callan Comeau (BHS Class of 2024). 
    2. The soloist was Tobin Smith. The student directors were Henry Ager, Charlie McBane, and Sage Rinella. 2024-25 Macapella Members: Henry Ager, Clem Beach, Ella Bialaszewski, Carlton Cabral, PJ Finn, Daniel Gasparino, Markus Goings, Sean McAnally, Charlie McBane, Colby Rinella, Sage Rinella, Tobin Smith, Krishna Tangirala, Teddy Watson, and ZiYang Zou.
  • BHS Dance Club led/choreographed by Mrs. Jessica Padilla 
    1. Performing “Thriller/ Heads Will Roll” (Performed by the Cast of Glee). 
    2. BHS Dance Club Members: Brooke Allen (BHS), Michelle Arnold (BHS), Samuela Botwey (BHS), Abby David (TCMS), Kara Filmore (BHS), Casey Howe (BHS), Taylor Howe (BHS), Gabby Kappy (BHS), Katey Laird (BHS), Emma McGowan (TCMS), Molly McIntyre (BHS), Megan Mendler (BHS), and Sara Zinkin (BHS).
 
The District also presented artwork by Brighton High School student Quinn Quinlan to each Board member.
 
Thank you to Board members Carrielyn Bertino, Larry Davis, Dr. Susan Gasparino, Karen Hatch, Dr. Christina Lee, Eleanor Oi, and Esther Winter for their service and the countless hours they devote to Brighton Central School District.
