Orchestras Combine at Annual District-Wide Strings Concert

Posted Date: 3/07/25 (12:00 PM)

Orchestras from French Road Elementary School, Twelve Corners Middle School, and Brighton High School filled up the BHS gym for the annual District-Wide Strings Concert in February.

The orchestras combined to play “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Atoms!” The French Road Elementary School Orchestra, led by Lori Isham and Eastman student teacher Rita Monahan, performed “Icicles” and “Ring of Fire.” The Sixth Grade Orchestra, led by Matthew Glende, performed “Into the Stars” and “Moonlight Tango.” The Seventh and Eighth Grade Combined Orchestra, led by Jenny Muhl, performed “Remember Me” and “Requiem (The Fifth).” The Brighton High School orchestras, led by Dr. Rachel Lauber, performed “Chamber Concerto RV 63 III Allegro,” “Summa für Streichquartet,” and “In Your Wildest Dreams” (conducted by BHS sophomore Benjamin Watson).  Congratulations to all our string families who help build community district wide — especially those families representing multiple schools. We look forward to welcoming more siblings to our family in future years!
