Get Ready for Brighton Homecoming
We hope everyone can join us at the Brighton Community Homecoming Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 20. This great event is sponsored by the Brighton Chamber of Commerce, Brighton Central School District, and the Town of Brighton.
Homecoming music and food will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Twelve Corners. The Homecoming Parade with class floats will start at 12:45 p.m. in front of Brighton High School.
Visit Brighton-based businesses and organizations in the Brighton Chamber of Commerce Tent Village.
BHS Homecoming Sports Night is Friday, Sept. 19.
- Varsity swimming and diving hosts Mercy at 4:30 p.m.
- Varsity girls soccer hosts Webster Thomas at 5 p.m.
- Varsity girls volleyball hosts Spencerport at 7 p.m.
- Varsity boys volleyball hosts Irondequoit at 7 p.m.
- Varsity boys soccer hosts Churchville-Chili at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 20, two other varsity teams play. For a full athletics schedule, see the website.
- Varsity field hockey hosts Hilton at 10 a.m.
- Varsity football hosts Spencerport at 2 p.m.
Road closure information for that Saturday is as follows:
From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Elmwood Avenue will be closed between South Winton Road and Monroe Avenue.
At 12:10 p.m., South Winton Road will be closed in front of Brighton High School from Newton Drive to Elmwood Avenue.
As a result, if you are scheduled to arrive before 11 a.m., you will be able to get through the Twelve Corners. If you are scheduled to arrive after 11 a.m., you will need to come from the south, either on Monroe Avenue or South Winton Road.
